WHAT IT DOES
Skup is a portable, reusable, Class I medical device for discreet, hygienic on-the-go respiratory secretion management. It normalizes self-care by eliminating social stigma and features a built-in sanitization system to clean the device instantly after use.

YOUR INSPIRATION
Born out of research into Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a chronic condition where daily respiratory physiotherapy is vital for survival, we identified a critical blind spot. By studying patient forums, we found that while O-PEP devices and vibrating vests focus heavily on clearing mucus, design innovation completely stops at expelling secretions. Our inspiration came from the emotional vulnerability of children and teens, ages 5–17. The fear of social judgment and distress of spitting into tissues in public often leads them to hold in secretions, completely undermining medical compliance.

HOW IT WORKS
Skup operates in four intuitive, sequential steps:
1. Preparation: The user removes the outer casing, opens the top cap, and fills the silicone container with water and saline solution. The device is now ready for use.
2. Expulsion: A simple twist of the central piece opens a diaphragm mechanism. The user places their lips to the ergonomic mouthpiece and expels secretions in a completely private and hygienic manner.
3. Pressurized Rinsing: Reassembling the casing and pressing the top cap downward compresses the flexible container. This forces pressurized solution to clear any remaining mucus from the mouthpiece, washing it into the lower container.
4. Hermetic Sealing: Finally, twisting the central piece in the opposite direction closes the diaphragm. This completely isolates the biological waste, ensuring a 100% airtight, secure seal for safe storage in any bag or pocket.
